My dealer gave me the option of having a local tailor shop fix a zipper for me rather than sending the jacket in for repair and being without it for several weeks. Which would have pretty much eliminated my fall riding. They reimbursed me for the work, no problem whatsoever. Your dealer might give you the same option. Ask them about it.
My FXRG came with a 5 year warranty. After 1 year the main zipper broke, took it back to the dealer who sent it to Harley. I guess HD decided it was not worth it to fix the jacket so I got a brand new one off the rack...
Just swapped my FXRG Leather Jacket...zipper was shot!
Did you get or did you notice the new zippers are much more heavier?
Great jacket!
The mrs and I both have HD jackets. Was told when we bought them that HD warranties them for 1 year. The zipper on mine was messed up when I got home. They exchanged it of course.
I had a zipper go bad on my 4 month old $400 logo jacket....I'm wondering if they warranty those things
were you using the moco recommended lubricant oil the zipper?????? If not they may not even talk to you about this issue....
Like said....it probably depends on the Stealer and whatn they think caused it. that sux but can be fixed. have anew zip sewed in
Ialso had the zipper in my FXRG replaced after 4 months, I'm beginning to see a trend here.I just took it to a leather shop in town and they put in a heavy duty one, cost me $15.00 and had it back in 3 days.
What happened was the the zipper was always very hard to start at the bottom....always took several attempts to get it engaged so I could zip it up.....It is also one of those types that once zipped, you can unzip it from the bottom upwards, or from the top down.
As it is presently, the zipper teeth are engaged one tooth off to where I can't release it at the bottom......It will zip in eather direction, but just won't come apart at the bottom....so I have to unzip it then drop it like a skirt and step out of it......Looks kinda Gay when I do that-you know?
I lube myself and all my clothes with Syn-3 if that makes a difference.I heard Royal Purple would void the warranty

Why would not having your jacket prevent you from riding? Is it an image thing? Just curious.
