question about specialty tool???

Default question about specialty tool???

when changing a friends handle bars on an 07 touring i found out i needed a tool for the ignition switch when you take it out.....where can i buy one of these...i borowed one for the time being but have several others that want bars swaped and was told that only deelerships can get these tools...any help would be appreciated

I just repainted my whole bike and inner fairing on my 08 flhx and so long as u take the ignition out as the manual says you wont have any problems. That tool is in case you not line up all three switch inside the switch. So just be careful to take the switch out in the fork lock postion and put it back in the exact same way you wont need the tool.

but you have to put it in the lock position to take it out but i want to be able to unlock it after i take the switch out therefor needing the tool
