Whoo-hoo, mama got me the HD ignition alignment tool for Christmas
I always screw up the tumblers when removing and hate finagling it. Just had to post

She got the actual Kent-Moore HD tool from the dealer, they ordered it for her. The Jims tool is pretty much the same. I suppose a machinist could easily duplicate it and slightly change it so as to not infringe upon copyrights.

I medium flat-blade screwdriver works to realign the tumblers, although this assuredly isn't as elegant a solution. The best way to reinstall the ignition switch reliably is to be sure it is replaced in the same position as it was removed. I had my first and only problem when I wanted to unlock the forks by re-inserting the ignition switch shaft/**** and forgot to install the shaft washers/spacers first. Take it from me, don't do that!

Been there done that...Had to go 25 miles to "borrow" the Harley tool. I just can't believe it's $70
