Been on the internet all day lookin to buy a Zumo 550. Know everybody here said to buy a Zumo from PCNation. Sorry but they are the hardest people with the most rules to deal with I've ever seen. I don't have time for these peoples rules and stress.
I have a condo in Houston my wife stays in so cause she works in Houston and that is my billing address and my wife pays the bills at this address.
I live 90 miles away at my home. I tried to buy a Zumo 550 with a Visa Credit card and wanted the unit by friday at my home. PCnation wouldn't do what I wanted to I went to these folks and they were much easier to work with. http://shop.thenewconnection.com/vie...p;RefTag=prrun
Haven't heard of that company, but the price is good - I paid a little more than that about three weeks ago from another vendor. BTW, the 550 comes with a case for the unit, so the "free" case ($39.99 value!) is redundant. When you get your unit, tell us how this vendor performed - others would find that information valuable!
I'd be leary of using a vendor I've never used before or wasn't recommended. Too many crappy places advertise a low price and then you end up in he!!. Glad it worked out for you.
Cardboard, The New Connection's (aka The Foto Club, The Wiz Store,1Stop Camera, etc.) Resellerratings score is 4.25/10. At least PCNation had a 7.85/10 and was twice as honest / half as bad at dissatisfied customers. You might want to learn more at www.resellerratings.com/store/FotoConnection_1
before you do business with these guys again. Most of their customers feel this company has no ethics or credibility. I'd go with PCNation and save the $75 over using Amazon.com. I hope you have better luck with The New Connection than others have.
I agree completely with doing a bit of research before you buy something from an online vendor. I was in the market for the Zumo 450. I didn't want bluetooth etc.
I actually emailed some vendors to ask them specifically what came with the product. Believe it or not, some vendors did not include the mapsource

So................. How much was the unit with shipping included in the price?
I ordered my new zumo through PCNation and found them to be excellent to deal with, my zumo had "free" 3 day shipping,$654.15 to my door 2 weeks ago, I ordered tuesday morning before i left for work at 5am 1/28 .... they had tries to delivery the package @ on 1/30 before noon time, but no one was home to sign for it,i ended up picking it up after work at the terminal of fedex. i dont know why they couldnt have it to you on friday,if they found my house out in the middle of no where in NH in two days from clicking the button to order it online.
PCNation is also a :"authorized" garmin dealer, and they advertise as "new in factory sealed box"
thats alot of coin to spend with the type of place you did,Glad it turned out right for you!
Ordered mine from Trusted Dealer on the 1st of Feb. and received it on the 5th of Feb. $639.00 free shipping. They did call to try and sell me extended Warranty, just told them it's a gift to someone, ended that conversation. Came with 2 mounts, charger, manual on disk, case, usb cable, and Map Sourse disk.
Compared to my Roadmate that I have for the Yukon XL, I'll rate the Zumo a 10 compared to the Roadmate a 9.
Dangit. You guys quit posting about your danged Zumo's.
I've got way too many other things I need to spend my money on right now, and all your doing is making me rationalize on why I need the Zumo first.
/curses!
Relax! You can spend your money on the other things, you don't really *need* a Zumo......... Unless you actually want to get to some place.............
