Lowers arrived today and they look nice on the bike.

What pisses me off is that several members here stated that they stop the wind from blowing up on your face. They do no such thing as the wind simply blows over them and in your face. If some of you guys don't have a clue about what you are talking about, then don't post BS that could cost other members money. I dropped $539.20 on these because MANY members here stated that they stop the wind from blowing up. At best, they reduce the wind by 30%.

Other myths:

The PCIII and Canned Map is better than the Race Tuner and Dyno. - False
The fork mounted Air Baffle keeps the wind from blowing through the forks. - False
The Fairing Air Deflectors keep the wind from blowing up. - False
Interesting. I just ordered some lowers and looked forward to a reduction in turbulence, and if only 30% that's better than nothing. They also keep you dry while moving, warm in cold weather, and add some additional storage--which are more pluses. I don't expect them or any other accessory to be a panacea.

Click...you will love them. They make a significant difference. Think Cigarman needs to get a Goldwing.

I added lowers (vented)to my SG, but never asked/cared about wind in my face. I added them for looks, keep the rain off my legs/feet, and keep me warmer in the winter. I love the feel of of the wind!!!! That's why I ride........

All the other myths? you're absolutley correct, but luckily I talked to folks who knew they were myths........

Ride on, and ENJOY!!!!!!!

I was not looking for a miracle, but was looking for about a 70% reduction and especially considering the cost.
If they ever come out with a version of the fork-mounted air deflectors for the SG, you would probably realize that 70% reduction. I've often thought about taking some spares I have here and trying to adapt them to the SG.

Looking at your bike photo, (which I think is very sharp) you might have to lower your touring pegs. I have the shorter style of what you have and mine work perfect. I'm going to order a chopped tour pack next because of your bike, iclick.
I can lower the pegs if necessary. The chopped TP is adequate for solo riding, but if you do any two-up touring you might want to consider the King TP. Also, if you want to adapt a solo rack to a Mustang solo seat with backrest (or similar), read this: https://www.hdforums.com/m_1118659/tm.htm

Dude you bought them. People on this site are very helpful and right on a lot of different topics. This is a forum not a court room. No one is ever held what is said. You need to evaluate your decisions and purchases how you need to. If you don't like them SELL THEM. As for people tough behind the keyboard you should review your opening statement, "If some of you guys don't have a clue about what you are talking about, then don't post BS that could cost other members money. I dropped $539.20 on these because MANY members here stated that they stop the wind from blowing up.",and possibally think about re-wording things next time and maybe you won't get the reactions you do.
