Who had the gun to your head when you ordered them? This Forum is to help you form you own ideas. You should have done what I did. Get a set of used ones, put on and drive around for a week. Than if they do what you execpt buy the new ones. Yeah I had a ugly mis mached set on for a while but I was sure that when i paid the money I was going to get what I wanted.

The lowers stopped the up wind on my Road Glide.Maybe it has something to do with the design of the Batwing?

Myself, I have the fork air baffle, the fork mounted air deflectors and I use soft lowers when I need to. I have a pair of the batwing mounted deflectors but I feel no difference when I put them on so I just leave them off. I am perfectly happy with that setup.

My god man..... did you take bitch lessons from my ex wife?

I took the lowers off my Ultra for about 25 miles and put them right back on.

To each, his own.

I never read anything that stated:

"Fairing lowers are the second coming of Christ! They stop ALL wind, shielding the rider in a vacuum chamber behind the top and lower fairings."

You simply read into other testimonials what you wanted to hear.

Me personally, I also added the batwing wind deflector, and even with lowers and those deflectors there is still a bit of a draft that gets between them. However, and there is NO subjectiveness to this, the amount of wind that does get through is substantially less than what was beating me to death before the install of those two addons.

You could always trade your bike in for a Goldwing.

I ordered vented lowers for my sg and I can't wait until they come in. I love the way they look, the added storage, and the weather protection will be nice. I've been using the soft lowers which work fine but I really prefer the look of the hard lowers and the added storage space will be nice as well.
