Fork mounted wind deflectors won't work with the hard fairing lowers. Therefore the hard fairing lowers won't work with the fork mounted wind deflectors.
I think you may be confusing fork mounted with fairing mounted (like the Freedom Wings). Maybe?
Some like the soft lowers. I didn't care for them. I picked up a set while my hard lowers were on order (thought it was going to take 8 to 12 weeks before I got them, only took 3).
They do ok, but they certainly don't perform (or look) as good as the color matched hard lowers in my opinion.
i have a set of soft lowers on my roadie, its easy enough to put them on and take them off when needed, they do help keep the rain off your legs and cut down some wind, i also have a set of batwing lowers and need a set of road glide lowers, any bites ??????
Don't know how the lowers work on a SG, but I just added em to my Road Glide this weekend and they did the trick. First I tried a 2 inch over clearview windshield, that helped a little, but not enough. But with the lowers now on and the +2 windshield, well the glide is just a great super-slab 80+ touring machine now...
For crying out loud [sm=boohoo.gif]....the members are just giving their opinions. Buying items that don't completely fix an issue happens all the time in everyday life.
I put the fork mounted chrome deflectors on my streetglide, made a huge difference. freedom wings-- not much difference at all, fork baffle-- helped a little, But the chrome fork mounted deflectors made the best change and i love them, took a little fab work, and dremel tool and they work like a charm.
