Is there any way of mount luggage to a sissy bar that dosen't require a luggage rack. I am taking a long trip and am going to have a passenger and I am looking for a way to get some extra luggage on the bike. I have tossed around the idea of a tour pack but want to stay away from that for now if I can. If anyone has and ideas or knows on some way to get extra luggage on that would be great. I also don't want the bags that strap to the tops of the saddlebags. Thanks for looking. Oh and this would be going on a street glide.
I looked a bit and came up with nothing for you.
I bought the luggage rack that bolts to the sissy bar , so I could remove both as a unit quickly.
It actually worked as well as I planned as we only use the sissy bar when the wife comes with me , and somehow women and luggage racks
go together ......
If you find luggage that has a sissy bar mount pocket , and has full internal stiffening , that would work , but I haven't seen anything like that.
Good question.

The Harley-Davidson Detachable Kit and Detachable Backrest / pad allow the use of a removable backrest without the luggage rack attached. I use this when I take my girls out riding but don't need the luggage rack on. When I'm done, I strip it all off down to the Mustang Solo and Rider Backrest.

Nope. 53011-98 comes to mind as one that might work depending on which upright you chose.
