I found this one online - I like it better than the cruisemount because it is hidden. Also it saves you a little over $100.00 bucks.

As usual you guys are the best! I appreciate all the input. I just talked to "Mr. Glass"and itwas obvious thathedidn't have any idea it was going to be $650+!! He is talking about selling the Heritage and going back to an Ultra.

I appreciate the help,

FYI- I think that may be the best looking Road Glide I've ever seen.

Thanks man! I guess that is good news and bad news because it is undergoing a little face lift....more like extreme makeover! Hopefully it will be even better when it is done.

The cruise kit from www.cruisemount.com uses the genuine Harley Davidson cruise control that you buy from Harley (discounts available), so if there is any issue with it, any Harley dealer can test it, repair or replace it. It also uses geniuse Harley wiring parts, connectors, etc. No cutting, splicing, sodiering, etc. The one from customizedcycles appears to be something "adapted" acording to their web site. Not sure what that means. Where do you get it fixed? Where do you get parts.
I have had the one from www.cruisemount.com on my bike(s) since 2002 and have never had any problem what-so-ever. It's a real cruise control.... maintains speed.... not throttle position. It is absolutly, positively the BEST accessory I ever added. Just like www.cruisemount.com says on their web site.... NO MORE THROTTLE LOCKS ! PLEASE!

I traded my Heritage for an Ultra and enjoy the factory installed cruise. I'm not sure if I would want to be involved in installing something on your friend's bike that might delay his slowing down when it's important, since he's accident prone anyway!! I would encourage him to trade, he wouldn't regret it.

I don't know guys, we're talking about the same thing over on this thread https://www.hdforums.com/m_3606114/m...tm.htm#3607466&nbsp\\;and $15 bucks to test out a throttlemate.com lock is a pretty quick cheap way to see if you want to go the extra mile and pry open your wallet for a true cruise control setup.&nbsp\\; If I had the extra dough the cruisemount etc would be fine, but hey I'm a cheap bastard!&nbsp\\; And for the price it works better than fine for me ...

I installed the Kuryakyn Electromagnetic Cruies Assist unit on my wife's Heritage and it works great.&nbsp\\; The big advantage over other throttle locks is the ability to disengatge when the driver uses either the front or rear brake.&nbsp\\; Of course. it is a throttle lock and does not give throttle on an incline, etc.&nbsp\\; Once set, it will hold speed on a level flat.&nbsp\\; In addition, it is easy to adjust simply by twisting the grip without disengaging.

Has anyone had any experience with the cruise controls sold by McCruise.com ?
