As they have said each stock bike comes with its own unique factory seat, if you want something different you wil have to choose another from HD or go aftermarket.

If it's for an 08 I think all the touring model seats will fit. It used to be the console length on the tank was different on between some models leaving a gap or overlapping onto the console. With the new 6 gallon tanks I think the consoles are the same. (someone will correct me if I am wrong) The 08's mount different on the front tang than all the old models anyway.

The Road king, Street Glide,Road Glide seats will all interchange,
along with the other touring models, according to my dealers parts
department.
I did not want huge big puffy seat look of the Sundowner and the
wife wanted a little wider pad so I ordered a RG seat for my SG.

the stock 08 rg seat was very uncomfortable for me. borrowed a buddy's 08 ultra saddle which was better, but i sat up and forward too much. i've always had mustangs in the past, so got a one piece and it is just right for me...and the ol.
