touring bike???
However, given the snow we are getting, supposed to be up to 10" by tomorrow, the HumongousHog, aka RK, won't be going anyplace anytime soon...nutz! DFO[:'(]
I did 425 miles and all you could muster up was 60?[sm=grinangel.gif]
Don't even try to keep up with Marcuda...he's on a mission...
(a cool one at that!)Mac
However, that does not mean the HumongousHog (aka RK) isn't enjoyable to ride and quite entertaining...far from it. Just be open minded and remember it is a totally different bike with, shall we say, an engineering slant that doesn't quite dovetail mit der Jhurmunn outlook!!!!
For me (6'3") the windshield is OK, can even keep my face shield up below @ 55 in 20+F temps. I think the two biggest changes for you will be the, to be PC, "modest" handling capabilities and the NEED to plan your stops: those H-D brakes aren't going to do any stoppies. However, within the big bikes' limits it is fun to ride, reasonable comfy and she sure has a "personality" unlike my oh-so-capable and rapid ST1300(zzzzz).
I'm still totally enamored by my 1200R Sporty, but I suspect the more miles I'm able to roll on the RK the more I will like her, especially if I get some bars on her that eliminate my reach problem caused by the Corbin. OTOH the Corbin provides comfort and support that I haven't come close to finding in any H-D saddle I've tried.
Enjoy that new Harley, but learn what she is capable of because it is far different from what you are used to on your beemer! Ride safe! DFO
