Do Kuryakyn mirrors need Loctite?

Default Do Kuryakyn mirrors need Loctite?
I bought a set of Kuryakyn Magnum mirrors for my Ultra. I removed the rightside stock mirror to get an idea how the new mirrors would look. I like that they extend out 2 inches. My question is should I use Loctite on the threads (they came with a star washer and a lock washer)? The stock mirrors didn't have any that I could see.

A little blue loctite sure wouldn't hurt if you are concerned that they'll loosen up.. Stock mirrors seem to stay put alright without it...

Every thing on a bagger needs loctite. At least blue.

I use blue loctite on every thing I replace.

+2. Sure can't hurt to use some blue and is better than seeing you mirror(s) bouncing down the road...

any mirrors that do not have the "roundbar" stems(stock mirrors) always seem to need blue loctite. especially the left one. the roundbar stems seem to soak up some of the vibes.

I agree - I have these same mirrors on my Road Glide and they tend to loosen up a bit for some reason, perhaps because of the added length of the stem and surface area of the head catching the wind. I use blue loctite to help keep them snugged up.
