Stash if you order & use the new German manufactured baffle packing from Fuel Moto to replace the packing on your Rush 1.75" baffles, I would like to know how you like it for sound and if you could make a sound clip for all to hear that would be even better.
I ordered from Jamie at Fuel Moto. I know he said he was sending me some material I would be happy with. It's sitting in a box next to me as we speak. Tomorrow I'm going to use some tips Fuel Moto gave me, and I'm going to repack the baffles. I'll try to update you.
I removed the baffles from my Rush 1.75 mufflers. I thought they were getting a little loud. I want to re-pack the baffles, but what materials and where can I buy the stuff I need to re-pack them?? Any instructions would be helpful!
Call Rush and they'll send you some repacking material, probably free. They did that for me, anyway. Tell them that if they want to charge you. OTOH, if I was repacking, I would just order this:
I've repacked my Rinehardts several times and use fiberglass packing form my local Honda shop. I get the 4 stroke packing, not the 2 stroke. It help lower the high pitch bang.
I repacked some rush 1.50 with the fiberglass material from local off road bike shop. They gave a nice sound. Can't imagine running with anything bigger than the 2in size.
Question for the guys that have done this on their own...is there a how to anywhere out there or is it really just wrap the baffle in the packing and stuff it back in the muffler (with a little love of course)? I've got the 1.75's and they are definitely louder than when I got them 2 years ago, but don't feel like dishing out $100 bucks for FuelMoto's.
