Default $220

Is this too much or just about right to remove/replace rear RKC tire with new Dunlop D402 WWW?

thats about right if the tire is $150. if you buy one online for $135 and pull the tire yourself, they will hit you for at least $30 for mount and balance. that makes the deal look ok to me.

edit... i forgot shipping too.

My dealership charged $242 for my Ultra, blackwall tire, tube, rim skirt, mounting and balancing and I thought that was high but my tire was bald. GO figure.

Legend HD in Silverdale Wa. will charge $300. + for an emergency replacement (D402), Softail or EGC. I had to replacethe rear tire both rides, in the same year!

That sounds about right, like izzi said, if you can pull it yourself and just take it to them to mount and balance, you can say a few bucks.

Labor to R&R a tire here in NM is 80 bucks per wheel. A tire runs close to 150 bucks (resr) so, YUP!!!

I was recently quoted $200 from my dealer to replace my rear tire with a Dunlop D402 WWW. It seems to be a fair price. I have seen internet proces of about $105.00 but then add shipping and labor to put on and your right there.

Way too high, IMO. Show your dealer this ad and ask him to match it.
http://www.hdwytheville.com/specials.asp

Wytheville HD will put any HD tire on , including WWW even engraved ones if you want them, for 99 bucks and the cost of one hour labor. Add it all in with a tube and you'd likely spend no more than 175 bucks there.

Ya that's about right for a rear tire with a mount and balance. They're sure not cheap!
