I agree with most in here that has mentioned the torque should be higher. I have the set up listed below, and was told the cheesegrater V&H BigShots would rob power, but after the dyno my bike weighs in at 79.9 hp and 91.8 ft/lb of torque.
The elevation (atmospheric pressure), temperature and humidity will all influence tuning and power production on any given day. They should have waited on clear, cool weather with fairly low humidity to tune the injection. I have an '08 Street Glide with SE Touring Mufflerrs, SE air cleaner kit, and SE race tuner. I am near sea level, so we usually have good atmospheric pressure. Mine showed 76.51 HP and 86.51 ft.-lbs. torque. From 2400-5000 RPM it shows over 80 ft.-lbs. torque, and from 3700-6200 RPM it has over 60 HP. HP is over 70 from 4200-6100 RPM. Best of all, the torque curve is very wide and flat. H-D did a great job of matching the gear ratios to the torque band. I think they should re-tune it when the weather is right, and concentrate on fuel mix and spark timing from 2600-4800 RPM. This will be at the peak torque and the most efficient intake port flowfor that engine. I am sure the missing torque will be back!
You'll drive yourself crazy if you keep chasing numbers. From my shop doing dynos on stock 96s and stock 88s there is very little difference between the 2....stock 88s generally dyno at about 58 hp and 68 tq, stock 96 runs about 61 hp 71 tq....that is in a dry climate at about 6100 ft elevation. Use your "seat of the pants" dyno, check the color of the plugs and just ignore the numbers.
