Ive tried search, to no avail, IM looking for new handlebars. ones that come back a bit, and also higher, ( for comfort) im 6' i feel like im always leaning a bit forward, What have you fellas done? TKs in advance , i know its been discussed before, but i can't find the thread, ( answers) tks
I'm in the process of converting my batwing to a RG front end and am also looking at handlebar options. I know alot of riders have gone with the Wide Glide or Heritage stock bars on their RG's and have been happy with them. I haven't decided yet though. I always run my wiring internally so I won't be going with any of the stock H-D bars because I don't want to have to modify stock bars for internal wiring. I havedone Wild 1 Chubby bars on previous bikes, but I want to go with something a little different this timeif I can find something I like. Flanders make some nice bars of different shapes/sizes that will fit the RG and their quality is 1st rate. They also come drilled for wiring. You might want to check them out on the web......
Paul Yaffe has some nice/different bars made specifically for the RG, but they want too much money for them IMO....
Yaffe is at "baggernation.com"
You have several options. A lot of folks use handlebars from Heritage Softail. For me, I ended up with the Road King Custom bars! They were high and swept back enough for me. I'm 5'8" and they worked very well. I'm not sure about other bars, but you'll need to consider if you need to replace cables and brake line or not.

I just bought and got my 517 Wild1's. Will be cruising down the ole hiway! Bars come way back to you. Here is a pick on someone elses bike. Sit back and cruise. My Road Glide is for long haul riding. My Deuce is for the city. Click on any image and it get's larger for ya.
You might look at this thread I did a couple of weeks ago about Khrome Werks bars. Everyone that has seen or sat on my bike since I put them on thinks they're great. Price is right. only drawback is if you want to run wires inside there is no holes drilled. https://www.hdforums.com/m_2832149/tm.htm
515's here, love'em. I'm 75" high. The Wide Glide bars just didnt do it for me.
Good luck!
Aclass- I was going to get the 515's after seeing your bike, but I called Wild1 and 2 guys told me they would be very much like my Wide Glide bars I already have on my Road Glide.....Said the grip angle would be the main difference but the pullback about the same. What are your thoughts? They look good on your bike.
I ended up buying a pair of 517's that are blemished (can't even tell!) for $65 under new price.
I have used the 16" Buffalo Bars, part number DS-300344 on my '03 and now on my '08 Road Glide. They work great for me. I know they make them in shorter lengths if you don't like them that tall.
