Inn of castlewood
Highway 58 Banner Corner, Castlewood, VA(276) 762-5511‎several times while going to the bristol race rather cheap and about 45 min from trackthey are not a big chain been removated in the last few years looked like an old holiday inn to meI think about $80 a night the best thing is the riding out there and since it is the night race the daytime is for ridingif you need ant more info or anything I can help you with pm meD.
We go to both races every year. We have paid the same lady to park in her yard for years, and have been going so long she lets us camp in her yard(we throw her some extra $$) Parking and 1 night camping, we usually give her 50 bucks. But, we are about a 10 minute walk from the track entrance, and we usually beat the crowd out when we leave after the race, so you can't beat the location. And, she is at the house, so with her and the other people who park there (same group each year) we don't worry about someone messing with our stuff when we are out carousing. Will be there for the race in a couple of weeks, so I can ask her if she thinks she will have an extra spot for a tent in the fall. Can't imagine she can't get you in on bikes, so let me know if you want me to ask.

Check out the cabins for rent at Sevierville, about 1 1/2 hrs easy drive away... go a few days early or stay later and ride the dragon, the blue ridge parkway or any back road, absolutely the best riding area ever. We have a cabin there, sorry its full to the ridge line at race time. Check out www.americanmountainrentals.com tell them Appalachian Joy sent you. PM me if you want directions to the track the back way in ez in /out spring or fall race.
I've been going to the Aug race for the past 8 years. We have been fortunate to have a friend who lives about a mile from the track and we camp at his house. I do know that a number of homeowners in his neighbourhood rent out their lawns for parking and camping. Anything along Beaver Creek Road, west of Hwy 394 should be able to offer you a patch of grass.
I'm riding down this year for the first time. Will be crossing into the U.S. at Buffalo, then over to Erie and down. I'm looking for anyone else who might want to hook up.
I always drive my truck (only a hundred miles or so) and use the Earheart parking lot almost straight across from the entrance. My3 budsand I buy4 parking spaces and pitch awnings in the empty spots and we're set. We don't have to worry about the traffic after the race, just tailgate some more and get some shut eye and leave Sunday morning. $25.00 for a parking space sure beats the 1 to 2 hundred for camping.
I don't know if your are trailering or not but if you are that might be an option.
well Jerry i'm in morristown...if i'm off maby me and the wife can ride up with you
i go to the spring race every year. we stay at Farmer Bobs campground across from the track. we pay $125...whether you camp 1 nite or 6. he has food, ice, showers and usually good entertainment. i have had lots o fun there...heading there in 3 weeks.
