I bought the heritage classic handle bars for my R/K Classic. (Can't stand the Beach bars!) Can anyone point me to a thread that has step by step procedures? I'm sure it isn't difficult but, I don't want to f**k this up. Thanks in advance.
FYI, the bars on a RK Classic hardly qualify as beach bars. I can't stand beach bars either, nor the stockers on a Classic, but those aren't anything close to beach bars. RK Customs came with beach bars stock though.
RKC stock bars suck!......I'm with you on this one.
Too low and not nuff pull back, but like the hand angles.......I'm looking for fat bars that offer about 2" more pull back and 2-3 inches more rise with same width.....ant suggestions?
Hey USAFammo
I have an 06 RK custom and hate the bars. I'm looking for the same pull back with the grips turned out more (the stock bars are too much like turning a door ****) let me know how yours work out. If any one else has found a nice comfortable bar to replace the stock ones please let me know! Thanks indaupeh

The Softail Heritage bars are a great set of bars and I have had them for 11,000 miles. The plusis they raise you up, your hands out (no more 'wheel borrow' position), and you can made the change w/o having to change cables....
I agree with MAX56, I have been researching for far too long and if comfort is your first priority then Apes seems to be the way to go...
I am about to pull the trigger on a set of Wild1's 515's or 502's... The only thing slowing me down is not the price of the bars ( roughly $200.00) but the cable are going to run me around $350ish.. I never figured the cables would cost more than the bars.. Having a tough time with this one...
Going w/1 1/2" Pull back drag bars,Got my E-bay scratch n dentspecial Carlini Nacelle kit for Road King, will be powder coating so little scratch don't matter, have not decided on which manufacturer yet for the bars, still trying to figure out what rise/pullback.
