I ordered my Ultra Classic on 2-8-08 and the dealer said it could take a month to get a a build time back and I shouldn't expect it until late May or early June. This will be the longest 4 months ever. Any ideas as to what to do (other than banging my head against the wall)?
Do what I've been doing. I ordered my Ultra in January, and have since been deciding on what chrome and whatnot to add to the bike. Oh and I've put on about 500,000,000 miles on it in my dreams. Never had any problems with the bike along the way either.
cancel the order. The '09's will be on the showroom floor in July. Also, call the MOCO.....they can tell you what dealer has the bike you want. A lot of dealers are offering free shipping in the continental USA. I know the Rossmeyer dealerships in FLorida have a lot of Ultra's in stock, and they do offer free shipping.
I ordered my Peace Officer 2006 back in March of 2006. You are right, it will be a long wait but in my opinion well worth it. It least your ordered it earlier in the year then I did.
What I did was buy the service manual and looked through it while I was waiting. Also, got a lot of good information from this forum on changes I was planning on making.
I ordered my 2007 Peace officer and was told it would take about 4 months as you were, however it was delivered and in my hands in a little over a month!!! Hope the same happens for you as it did with me and Congrats on your new bike you're gonna love it... "D"
