Well I finally finished my trailer. Last November I bought a Leesure Lite tent trailer http://www.leesurelite.com/. I really liked how fast and easy they set up (about 10 seconds), but hated the color and them ugly *** camper lights (along with their name and 1-800 number across the back)I do believe they are also way over priced (they start at $4500 with no awning or storage pods, I paid $5700 for mine) for what they are. But I figured a little black paint, some lights and decals could clean it up a little. I just hope I didn't over do it. It does look pretty cool at night cruising down the freeway and the cages can defiantly see me. I've even had the eighteen wheelers pull along side a night and hit their Jake brakes.
Looks great! Good job on the paint and lights. You should be well seen at night now, and anything to get the attention of the drivers out there is a good thing.
Looks great - an' the LED's help reduce the load on yer chargin' system, so it's a win-win!
Yeah, I took it out for a tow the other night and stopped bycouple bars for a beer. You wouldn't believe how many people came up to remind me I'd left the lights on. Even had the band that was playin' anounce it. I had 'em on for about three hours that night and the bike still started fine. Those LED's don't draw sh*t!
That'sa great looking set-up you have. Definately something I'd consider. How much do you charge for the mods?
How does it pull on the highway? Other than the bar-hopping the other night, have you had it out for an extended cruise? I'm curious about how it affect handling in a cross-wind.

Well,so far I've only pulled it about 100 miles in onetestrun, but that was across the Tacoma narrows bridge with the wind blowing pretty good. The trailer tows great, had it up to 70-80 no problem. You can tell it's there but you get used to it. The main thing is to have the tongue weight correct (about 10 percent of the trailer). There is also a big debate going on about swivel hitches. Some people say you need them, some say you don't. I did tow it some without the swivel hitch and it was OK, but it seemed MUCH more comfortable with it, especially around town.
As far as the mods, I had a friend who does custom paint work, paint it for me (for which I traded him an old hot tub) and bought all the lights off e-bay for less than $100. It was pretty easy to mount and wire them. Then my girlfriend bought me the cooler that mounts on the front that happened to be the right color and matching bar and shield. So I had't really thought about it, maybe there is a new buisness opportunity out thereI do think that Leesure Lite should offer some other color besides gel coat camper white.
