I use the EZ Pass tag in my cages all the time and want to use it on the Road King.
Where do you mount one for good transmission. I'd like to mount it in the cover of thesaddle bag, but don't know if it will be OK there.
I just put it in the windshield bag on my RK and it works just fine. In Houston, they give you a EZ Tag in a plastic case for a motorcycle that does not have to be mounted anywhere on the bike.

Handlebar mount would probably be best for your bike. You'll just have to remember to take it with you when you park the bike in public places. I have mine mounted inside the batwing on my SG - but that obviously isn't an option for you...
Here in Florida, we have the "Sunpass". Will work most anyplace: in jacket pocket, Velcro dot on dash, windshield, etc. I have heard they are highly directional so you need to always make sure the side that is normally placedagainst the car window is facing outward. Also the magnets in audio speakers may affect them so try to keep some distance.
Florida Sun Pass here. Did not work in saddlebags. Also received a notice when I transferred the pass from my car to the bike. They wanted me to purchase and register a separate pass for the bike.
Not sure why they seem to work intermittantly and can't get a good answer from ezpass. I have held mine in my hand above the windshield as I approach and it still will not work sometimes. I think that the solution is a smaller toll opening for mc's only that does not have a gate. That way as long as your tag is registered with ezpass even ifthetransmitterdoesn't register all they do is deduct the amount from your account. Sure would be safer than stopping and dismounting at a gate to find the right change or if you live in VA and take the Greenway get out your credit card as most gates don't take cash. That sucks....
