Traded an old car for my first bike at 23. It was a 1984 Honda V-45 Magna. Kept it a few months, but just wasn't enough under me (6'1", 285). Been on a bagger ever since. Call it a geezer glide if you wish, but I opt for comfort along with style. For the record, I am on a 2007 FLHRC, to which I have added hard bags, a tour pak, and a windshield. I will eventually add a detachable fairing. I am only 35 now, but you can have all the smaller, bagless bikes.
I got my first bike when I was 14 a Honda 70 now it's 42 years later and I have gone through severl bikes both Harley and others. I ride a 2009 FLHTC, well that's what she was when I bought her, I plan on keeping her till I can't hold her up any more then convert her to a trike and keep on riding.
53 when I bought my first bagger a 2012 Stree Glide in the Tequila Sunrise color. That was back on Sept. 17th and now have over 1600 miles on it here in Michigan and just love it. Came off a 2000 Kawasaki Vulcan 1500 that I had for over 5 years and 45,000 miles. I was actually able to ride the Vulcan again when I had the 1000 miles service done and it felt like a minibike. Could not believe I rode it that long.
