I was pulling the wide glide out of garage, had the freeway pegs up, I was not watching
and the sharp edge of the peg scratched the hard bag of my road glide.
Ques:
Do they sell a touch up paint and if they do will it look OK.
The scratch is about 3" long and .030 deep.
The RGs color is pewter pearl.
An auto body and paint shop can paint the scratch for you and match/feather it like new...maybe 100 bucks, but...
You CAN snad and level the scratch and try to do a touch up, but that is a fairly long scratch and I'd go to the body shop....just take the bag in and they'll have it ready in a day or two. WAY cheaper than a stealer!
You can go to a auto parts store and get a scratch kit. It has different colors to buff out the scratch. Works great. I have a custom painted bike and people can not keep their hands off of the paint. I have scratches a lot on the tank when someone rubed the tank with a ring on. They want to see if the mural is a sticker or paint, it's paint. I do not recall what it is called but you can ask for it. Use a big parts store.
I had a big ding in the tank on my old Dyna and had a painter fix it - looked great when he was done and not too expensive.

Vailtl..........If its any consolation I was moving my SG around in the garage being careful not to scrape my sons dyna and I walked the SG right into the bench mounted vise. Got a 3" scratch in the faring....................BG
Depends on the color. Is it pearl or a candy? Your dealer sells touchup bottles, even the sunglo colors. If it's deep, go with the touchup.
If not, go with a blending compound out on the market. They do work. I scratched my saddlebag slightly and was able to restore the color and mine was Sunglo Blue Pearl.
