OK, I will apologize for this now... My cousin is going down for bike week, it's her first time. She has begged me to go with her, so I must oblige. So for anyone else that is going to be there for the 6th through the 9th I am sorry. It seems whenever and wherever I go to Daytona we will get rained on. I will pray to the weather gods to keep it dry, but I thought I would give everyone a heads up now. Again apologies up front if it does rain...
UPDATE
So we left Myrtle Beach for Daytona at 9:30 had an awesome ride until the last hour (around 5 or so) when yes you guessed it it started raining! I have to tell you all I was super proud of her she did that whole trip on a bone stock 1200L (even the seat) 501 miles when we pulled into the hotel parking lot. We added a few hundred more miles during the next couple days in the rain (off and on) and then the wind picked up quite a bit on Saturday (it SUCKED), again she did great. Sunday we packed up and loaded the bikes watching glide after glide and king after king getting loaded onto trailers to head home, and everyone asking her if she rode that down or had it trailered (Talk about a smile on her face) when she said she rode. Most could not believe it, and a couple of guys even said that they felt bad tying theirs down while she made a 500 mile trip on her sporty (she did pick up a Mustang seat while we were out). Well, sorry to be long winded but I just wanted to let everybody know she did good and was already talking Sturgis
Depends on how good looking your cousin is.. as to if it's going to rain or not..
OH and don't get in the way of the squirtgun girl in the front of Froggies..!! (see pic)
Excellent place to park is right behind Froggies in the (Christian) lot.. Cheap and safe.. right next to Main st.
You also have to make it out to the "Iron Horse Saloon" up near Harley of Daytona.. !!! (Tell Blond Tatooe'd Debbie working in the "Bus" bar.. Capt. Sam said hi..) It will be worth your while. (eyecandy)

Nice pic! It's not going to rain- it's going to be beautiful! Cool enough for a jacket at night and warm enough to ride in a t-shirt during the day. If the 10 day forecast doesn't change much, it'll be mid seventies during the day with only a 10-20% chance of rain. All the northeners will think they died and went to heaven...at least until they have to go back home.
Sweet! heading to Myrtle to pick her up Wednesday night, and leaving Thursday morning for the warmth
Anyone going that route, shoot me an email and we'll hook up for the ride down.
I'll see if I can find shot of her to post, it is kind of a celebration for her since her divorce finalization court date is the 10th - she's ecstatic...
Weather men are idiots- Wet, windy and cold are a long way from what our weatherman promised. It sucked but we managed to have a good time anyway. Funny how a few thousand bikers can make even the most miserable weather tolerable...well, bikers, half-nekkid women and a lot of beer.
