I've been riding my old shovel since 78, Thought may be time for a change so I went to a 08 bagger, Love the bike she's a great ride, but when you take your grip off the bars she pulls to the left.The Harley shops say all the new bikes are this way,what crap! Can any one tell me how to adjust the rear wheelwith the cams on the axel.The shop manual seems to say to adjust the whole drive train.Shovels are so simple.

Loosen the nut on the throttle side of the axle then turn the axle from the clutch side and both cams move together as they are keyed on the axle. No measuring like on a shovel, despite it probably being more acurate. I have a '05 which has the cam setup and i track straight. Maybe check alignment via motormount linkages.

Sometimes the front wheel could be the culprit. I "realigned" mine by loosening the pinch bolts and bouncing the front wheel against the wall of my garage without using the front brakes during this procedure, then made sure to position the axle correctly with the drill bit through the hole on the end and tightened it all down to spec.
Drives straight as an arrow for miles and miles.
