Possibly a stiffer ride, clearance issues if you ride 2 up and fully loaded for a trip.

Don't all Touring models come with the same rear shock?

I had my dealer put the street glide shocks on the back of my Ultra before I took delivery. This is actually the HD recommended way to lower your Ultra. The shocks are 1" shorter so your estimation is pretty good in terms of lowering amount. I have never had a problem bottoming out even with the wife and gear on the bike. I also had the seat shaved a bit (30" inseam) and I can now "flat foot" it with my boots on pretty easily. Yes you can put air in them. They are the exact same shock as the stock Ultra shock in terms of installation and airline hookup, the only difference is the 1" shorter rod.

Street glides are lower in the rear. Every other tourer has the same.

Hey, guess I am looking for a pair of SG shocks now! I am using the WB lowering blocks. SG shocks and lowering blocks would slam it?? Anyone used this combo?

30" inseam here, 5'8" or so. With the RK seat and lowering blocks it isn't bad. I could use the little extra. Still like to take over your thread and see if anyone has blocks on a SG and have any issues?
