For the most part I don't have any more problems riding the Ultra inheavy wind thenI did my Deluxe with a windshield.
The things I really hate:
1. The crap that flies at you during 60 mph gusts can really hurt
2. My nice clean bike is now covered with a fine layer of everything blowing[:@]
Hubby insisted on riding with his new bike...Guess I don't blame him...but even small stuff can hurt! Taking the tour pak off helped me though

Living it the Texas panhandle the wind is a fact of life. There is nothing to block the wind and this time of year its constant. The thing I hate most about the wind is it multiplies the wind blast by 10 that comes off an 18 wheeler.
I hate the wind. If you can ride in 60 mph gusts without getting your feathers ruffled then you are a rather accomplished rider. I was riding one day in 25 mph gusts and it drove me crazy. Or maybe I am just a wimp. T.

Hubby have much to say about the wind, riding that Wing? I have heard that they are more susceptible to being blown around, due to the covered sides..............

ChooChoo - Love the Wyoming sign...gets that way here too...I had avoided the heavy stuff on the new bike until I got comfortable...not as bad as I thought.

I didnt ride in it today, but I did yesterday. I started in Desert Hot Springswith just a little wind and went into San Bernardino, it was cold and drizzling there. Went back out to the desert to GAIL FORCE winds......sand is no fun in the wind. It just got worse from there, there was no way I was riding today. So I closed up the RV and put the bike to bed till next weekend, and went home to the mountain.
I rode today, mild winds 20-40 and only a slight chance of snow. As we climbed the mountain rode the temp dropped and was down around 35 degrees. Stopped for a cup of joe, came out and it was snowing, so rode slowly through the snow for a couple of miles and it turned to rain, rode through the rain for a couple of miles and it turned back into sunshine and a real heatwave, up to 38 degrees and 40 mph winds. It was a great ride, got in 127 miles and some great comadrie.
