really? I did not know that
I have the ThunderHeart wiring harness in my bike. It has the same concept built into it, flashes the brake likes a set number of times. They no longer offer this. This is what they say is the reason.

To address complications with D.O.T. regulations, Thunder Heart’s popular Electronic Harness Controller (ASM4250C) will be replaced by the ASM4250D. Whereas the “C” version of the EHC flashed the turn signals multiple times upon each application of the brake, the “D” version replaces this function with conventional brake light activation (solid “on,” without flashing the turn signals).
Though it isn't clear in their description, the Brake light also flashes. I use the setup so both my directionals and my brake flash when the brake is applied. I also use all RED lights in the rear.

Source is here http://www.thunder-heart.com/WireHarness.html and them click on ASM4250 part.

As stated in the add "Badlands' Illuminator Module turns stock or custom turn signals into running lights and brake light while keeping their turn signal function."

Has no mention of the "Wig Wag" or "Back Off" features. This unit is fairly expensive for what it does offer.

Harley has a unit that does allow the rear turn signals to operate as "Running Lamps" only and keeping their turn signal functions at a 1/3 of this units cost!

I'm new to this, I never knew such a thing existed. I do catch myself activating my brake lights when I see a approaching vehicle, I try to do anything I can to let others know I'm there. Sounds like a great idea.

You can access the web site for the BACK-OFF at www.SignalDynamics.com and see a demo of the flash patterns. The unit cost 39.95 and can have 2-4 different configurations. You will want to get the BACK-OFF XP as this unit will handle conventional bulbs as well as LED's if you ever convert over to them.

For the Streetglides it easy to install take off the seet and unhook the brake light wire and add the male and female connector and your set. I love it and the amber light stay lit for more safety. I'm not wrench but the instruction is straight forward.
