BACK-OFF Module
Still hoping someone on the forum can point me in the right direction on where I find the brake light wire. I assume under the seat but in which wire harness????

I just received the BACK OFF module in the mail. Can someone provide me details on where to locate the brake light wire I need to splice into on my '06 Road Glide.
I do have a service manual but not really clear where to look for the wire.

Ok I'm cutting a pasting this from the thread link below it:
"I installed the Back off on my 05 Ultra. I looked at the wiring diagram in the service manual. There is a red wire with yellow line that goes to the brake light on the right side (while sitting on the bike) and another red wire with yellow line on the left side of the bike. The right side is in the plastic wrapping of wires that runs to the brake light; the left side is in the wiring bundle that runs into the trunk. Made the cut in the right side and attached the wire coming from the brake light switch (now the supply wire) to the back off unit. Then cut the wire going into the trunk (secured the supply wire so not to short it out or needed to reconnect it in the future) then connected both wires, the brake light and the trunk to the other wire of the back-off unit. The back off flashes the brake lights now in the form of a V. I left the turn signals as steady red from the previous install of the HD part which converted them. Looks good and hopefully will help keep the rear of the bike from becoming a hood ornament on a cager." By: captain_jeb

This is pretty good info from what I remember, however when I've installed mine I didn't have to cut any of the factory wiring since I had an adapter module for my turn signals to be brakelights and thats what I cut into.
If this does not make any sense to you, send me an instant message and I'll scan some stuff out of my manaul to e-mail you.

DISCLAIMER::: Steele, I'm not trying to be a S/A I did a search specific to this and found Ed's post. When I put it in this thread I did NOT know it was from this same thread!! end-edit
