Can we still use the chrome cover with the clearview or is there a gap between the shield and the fairing? I was liking the look of the Klockwerks but I think I'm leaning towards the clearview if the chrome trim piece works.

????

I bought an 07 Road Glide in Nov 06 and had never had a chance to ride one. I know that sounds crazy, but I couldn't get anyone to let me test ride one. I could have tried a rental, but most places don't even rent RGs. So, once I got it, I found that the wind was buffeting my head way way way way too much. I was ready to sell this thing. I read about the clearview shields and ordered one. I went with the one that is +1 inch over stock. I am 5'8" short and it was a perfect fit. I see just over the top if I sit up straight, if I slouch a little, I am looking through the top above the curve. I had to get used to that and the curve does cause some distortion, but after I got used to that, I love it. I was ready to get a street glide, which I have riidden. The problem with the Road Glide is the the fairing is so far forward that the wind from the top and the bottom is meeting right in front of your head and creating a tornado in front of your eyes. I could barely see at 80 mph, especially if I had a helmet on, that seemed to make it worse and was forcing me to ride with no helmet, which is not a good thing. Now I can wear a half, 3/4 or full with no problems. The clearview shield kept me from selling a brand new RG. I can't believe that HD still makes these bikes this way. Don't these guys have a wind tunnel?? Hello??

OK. Have read up on these and just ordered a GT Small Light Grey Tint blem from Clearview. I just lowered the bike tonight by 1" in the rear and I am 5'9". I took the measurments of 11.5" up from the HDB&S on the speedo/tach and this shield should be perfect for me. I am looking forward to a shield that does not vibrate at the top edge as much as the stocker. Right now I'm using a 8" chopped and will like to change it up a bit, and hear my tunes better. Plus this should help when we are two up.

I will post a pic and review when I get it.
Quick update on my Clearview GT Small Blem shield. Wife just messaged me. It just arrived TODAY! That's four days total from order processing to arrival. I ordered it late Monday night and John invoiced me Tuesday am. Wow! that was way fast. Great service indeed! Can't wait to get home to check it out.

I put the clearveiw large on my 07 RG. I am 6'2" and is absolutely perfect. This is my second RG and wish the heck I had a shield like this on that one as well. I can listen to ball game at normal volume at hwy speeds.

I did get the vent and feel its a must.
