I want to know how long is unacceptable for a bike shop to return your bike from rebuilding a motor. If a bike shop take longer then they states what can we do as riders besides not go back there? I'm a patience guy but I would like to ride my bike.
Getting a S&S 106 Kit and daimond cutting the heads and barrels.

What is the source of the hold up? If its waiting on parts the dealership has no control over that. If thier just not working on it you need to find out why. Your poll is WAY to general and vauge. What are you having them do/ why is it being rebuilt?
Depends on the season, about a month from now all the dealers will be busy trying to serve the most customers.Lots ofbikes that have sat all winter. Some people have them serviced, checked outevery spring othersfind problems after the bikesat for4 months.
If you had an appointment they should have been able to estimate the time it would take, I'd give them a day or two before checking with them.
If the bike was dropped off with no idea of what was needed then you need to allow some time for your turn.
I know if mine is taking too long I get out in the garage and kick my ***..I am not a tech but can do cylinders/heads/cams in a 10 our day. That is start to finish with parts in hand before starting.
In an optimum situation, a customer who has been promised something by a certain date should receive a call or email explaining the delay and the anticipated new completion date (if known)as soon as the circumstances for the delay become known--but that kind of service is seldom encountered.
If the customer has a hard deadline, he ought to say so before hand.
As for the poll, not enough facts are known to answer, for me, anyway.
The diamond cutting is more than likely done by a 3rd party, so that can slow things down..
Just a basic top end, if parts are on hand and the svc is scheduled, should easiily be done in 2 days. **However, when stuff has to be sent out.... all bets are off.
