Has anyone discovered something with a clean look to cover the holes used by the speaker pods. I'm considering removing the rear speakers from my tour pak and would like a clean look with some sort of pad. HD doesn't make anything I am told. Thanks!
I am in the process of trading away my speaker pods here and I was thinking of just using License plate bolts to fill the holes. Probably just plain red reflectors. I also have a friend that works leather so if I ma nice to him maybe he will make me some sort of leather panels.
That's my .02
I was thinkin about adding them to mine.. so da wife can listen to the tunes better.. anybody else have some they wanna part with???
For a reasonable price of course.....
The plugs Abnmarine referred to are HD PN 90102-06.
Some HD touch-up paint and smallest diameter plastic plugs would be the solution for me.
IIRC, Dragonfly Concepts sells speaker pods that accept 6.5" speakers for about 200 USD; also, Pez may sell his Hog Tunes rear pods w/ and w/o speakers.
I am also interested in obtaining pods if anyone in this string wants to get rid of theirs. If not, then I will buy from HD, PEZ or Dragonfly if I can't find some quality used (cheaper) one out there. Thanks.
Try taking a piece of 1/4" plywood cut to a shape you like, drill hole to match the tour pack, then epoxy some carraige bolts in place. Take to a shop and have it covered with padding and fabric of yourchoice. That would be something different. What ever you do please send pictures.
