As always, we avoided Main Street other than early in the week and early in the day. Ran out to Ocala, visited the almost trying half-hearted attempt at Bike Week that Orlando sorta does/doesn't do and hit all of the regular spots - along with a new place or three.
This year was not as wild as years past - proilly because of the weather and the fact that my crew and I are getting older and getting in earlier. In fact, out of eight bikes going down this trip, six were Geiser-Glides. In October, I'll be bringing my Glide down as well, mostly for the Keys trip with incorporate with that only four day event.
Body Painting and flashing at the Cabbage Patch is always entertaining. Cooler weather was a bit of a downer on the babe front but it was pleasant for riding.
We were walking down a side street on our way to Main St. Saturday night, when some kid on a crotch rocket decides that he needs to do a burnout right in the middle of the street. He really gets it going, big cloud of smoke, then I don't know what he did, but all of a sudden the back tire grabs and the bike does a back flip with him on it. He came down in a big heap in the middle of the street. What's better, is his buddy who is on a really nice custom bike in front of him, turns around to see what happened, and I guess he was drunk because he just fell off the bike. The whole thing was pretty amusing.

and how long did it take for them to get arrested?...********
I was there from Saturday and left about noon the next Friday. I thought the weather was pretty darn good and rode 1700 miles while I was down there. Had my bike hauled down and I flew in (in Iowa we're having a brutal winter). Mid 70's pretty much every day and cool at night but all in all pretty darn good. Sounds like I got out before the rain, cold and wind by about 3 hours I go to ride as much as I can - I don't drink - and I get bored at swap meets & bike shows. I've been down 4 out of the last five years and hope to make it 5 next year !
