You should at least let it idle long enough to finish your beer!!

Injection will make the bike run as though it were up to operating temp but the engine parts and the oil are still cold. I run synthetic oil which has more viscosity stability in colder weather but still liketo have engine warm at the rockers and then I go easy the first few miles or so.

I've been around engines and machinery of all sorts on land sea and air fopr some time and just stick with time honored practices.

Once up to full operating temps she's run like she's stolen!

Depends on the outside temperature. When its in the 40's and 50's I like to let it warm up 4 or 5 minutes. 60's and up a couple minutes. I always take it easy the first mile or two. Then just ride normally.

I like to crank mine up and immediately hit the rev limiter... back off 200 rpm's and then hold it there for about 6 minutes, when the pipes begin to glow red then I know it is warmed up and ready to ride. It never misses a lick

For me, by the time I get my helmet and gloves on I'm ready to roll.

I go to work at 5:30 am, My close neighbor sleeps all day & parties with loud music all night, My other neighbor leaves his dog out all night to bark non-stop.

I let my bike warm up a good 4-5 minutes before I take off. The Hooker straights sound nice at 5:30am.

Man, I hate it when everyone already said all the good stuff before I get here!
Harummph!
*Leave @ 05:30, don't wake the neighbors! Yep
*Push out, start, close garage, finish getting dressed. (Unless it's raining, then already done) Yep
*Start, idle till heads warm/hot to touch-Yep
*Gently motor out of neighborhood-Yep
*Ride at highway speed once on roadway-Yep
*Watch out for WSP/Kitsap County's finest while passing through their training area-My little twist >
