Thanks for all the great compliments! I really do love it and look forward to many years of enjoyment from it. The following are the things that I have done to it so far:
Changed the bars to the RK Custom Bars p/n 55908-04
Brake line p/n 45510-04
Luggage rack p/n 53341-97A
RK Classic backrest pad p/n 52886-98A
Kuryakyn Iso Grips
Corbin dual touring seat w/studs
Next week I am going to have the front and back lowered. I have a short inseam and I am looking forward to this. I also have the shorter windshield that I am going to change out as soon as I have the chance to switch it. New pipes to come in time.
The bars made a big difference. I was wanting to go to the RK Custom bars, but was told at the dealership that I would have to change all the cables = big bucks. Thanks to our forum brother TBALL, I knew differently. TBALL had changed his FLHR bars to the FLHRS bars and filled me in on all the details. I determined that there was no difference between the FLHR & FLHRC stock handle bar cable set up and went with his advice. Worked like a charm and I love them! Thanks TBALL!!!!
I ordered all my HD parts from Hales Harley - Davidson, (419) 522-8602. They give a 20% discount on everything and the shipping is very reasonable.
