'03 RK, KN filter, VH propipe, PC3 w/correct canned map (though it says for 2002) and it still pops on decel AND pops right when i squeeze in the clutch when upshifting too...exhaust is tight and the plugs look fine
yeah i know i should get it dynoed...confused...any ideas why?
If I had to guess, I'd say it was your map... It's possible the map you've programmed is not right for your bike and setup. Had the same problem with my old bike and after changing my map it ran great... "D"
I bought my 01 RK used and the previous owner had put aftermarket exhaust on without remapping. I had the same problems your having now. I went to the local dealer and had a "Stage 1 Reflash" and the hot and cold idle reset ($216). No problems since. Iknow you did the PC3 remapping but I didnt know if that was a similar fix. FYI Good luck on the fix.
Every standard transmission vehicle I have ever driven had some decel pop if you ran up the rpm in a gear and just let off the gas. Especially if it had any kind of exhaust on it.
