evo 30 tooth report... WOW
I decided to let my local shop do the install. I got the manual and am not ashamed to say that I am not ready to do motor work. I may at some point but not now. So I have some good results and a delima.
I had my wife pick up my bike today. They put on my sprocket and did some retuning since I had installed the Heavy Breather. I will not dwell on the numbers as the ride is WAY more important to me. The last tune was when they put in my cams and I ended up 80.51hp/94.90tq. Now with the Heavy Breather and Sprocket (which I do not believe would affect the output of the motor) I ended up at 78.23hp/93.60tq. But I will tell you this.....
That thing is alive and STRONG. I have never hit the rev limiter before on this bike and when I came out of 1st and hit 2nd it was wound tight way before I was expecting. The power goes straight to the wheel and to hech with the numbers, this thing will ROCK. I can only imagin what you guys with the bigger builds feel. My speedo is off and I have some kinda Dakota Digital thing on order to fix it. About 4mph off at 60 and 10mph off at 100. I will be able to use 6th gear with no hesitation in the 60mph range and it feels great in all gears. A VERY GOOD ADDITION IN MY OPINION.
Here is my problem....
Out of the blue tonight my wife tells me to sell HER bike (RKC) and get me a new one. So I give her the
huh look. She smiles and I remember... she road my SG home today. I have quized her several more times and she asked me what I would get. I told her it would be an Ultra or a Road Glide. She wants my SG so it looks like I may be coming to the DARK side with one of them UGLY shark like things... WE SHALL SEE HOW THIS PLAYS OUT.Bottom line... The EVO 30 tooth is awesome regrdless of the numbers game. VERY GOOD seat of the pants... I almost forgot, at about 2900 rpms in first gear on an easy throttle, I cracked it open and I am 99% sure I had the front tire up a bit. Surley nothing like some on here but no clutch drop at all. I shall play a bit more this weekend.

was wondering where did u get the gear and chain set and did u do away with the compensator?
I say rent them all for a weekend each then decide. Oh change your sig since the sprocket is on.

I have always liked the RG but it would be a tough call. The only other thing is now the wife would have a kicken SG and I would be starting from scratch again. I think I need to go to HDA classes. (HARLY DAVIDSON ANONYMOUS)
