Looking at a 2007 ultra classic it has 5853 miles all stock only iso grips he wants $18850
First is that a good price? And second I heard the 07 have a few issues anything I should be worried about?
My 07 ultra is a real pile Its been to the dealer somany times and never has gotten fixed It has no low power even with all the mods i have done It runs really hot my oil temp pegs at 350 and when it does the bike will not go over 70 and man does your legs burn mine has 5000miles on it Hope this helps Jerry by the way i only pain 18000 new fully loaded
The price seems high, although I haven't checked the book. Most '07 owners are very happy, some have had issues. I changed the pipes and fuel management right away and never really rode it stock so I neverexperienced the heat issues until I got stuck in downtown Sturgis traffic. I suspect everyone's bike was warm that night! I have added IDS, money well spent in my opinion. Get him down to 17K and buy it if you like it!
My 07 is awesome!
I added Vance & Hines true duals, HD race tuner kit, stage I air cleaner kit...
I bought it stock and added the extras at my 1k-mile check. BIG difference and it runs great.
I had the similar heat issues, but with synthetic oil, heat shields and true dual exhaust its nowhere near ashot unless you are sitting in traffic and its 95 degrees, but then it doesnât matter what bike you ride its still hot.
You can also consider oil cooler if you really need to drop the temp, but I wouldnt recommend that as an immediate purchase.
I agree the price is a bit on the high side unless there are alot of extras. I would offer 17k; you can also have it checked by your local dealer if you are that serious about the purchase. I checked NADA and the low retail is 15,170 and high retail is 19,760. So 17k out right is reasonable.
As others suggested, price is a little on the high side.
Don't listen to the nay-sayers. While the 07's do have some things that need to be tweeked a bit to get them running in the sweet spot, they're absolutely great bikes. For not much more than what this guy is asking for his 07 you could probably get into a brand new 08 that has most of those "tweeks" already applied, or at least adjustments made at the factory that elminate the need for them entirely.
Just bought a used 07 for 17.5 with 7K miles, it's box stock and runs great so far (no long trips yet) Maybe I'm missing something, but seams to be much nicer ride than the Heritage I just sold.
