Kudos to Head Trip Helmets
I have been using a Head Trip Helmet (www.carbonfiberhelmets.com) for about 2 years nowand love it. Recently I received a letter explaining there was an issue with the DOT certification on the helmet and to please send it back. They sent me a mailing slip, postage paid. I sent them my helmet. They inserted a new liner and sent the helmet back, coast to coast in less than one week,better then new. What I like about these helmets are the low profile. You don't look like you have a mushroom on top of your head. Now, I am equally impressed with their customer service.......good job Head Trip.

I own one of these helmets (I'm a dealer) and love the low profile look. Even Mrs. Chil abandoned her full face helmet for one. Can't say enough about their quality and look. They use a 50/50 blend of carbon fiber and kevlar. Made in USA, too . . .

They are an excellent helmet. I don't have the DOT version, but it meets all of the DOT tests except for the spear penetration. I've had cheap skid lids in the past that feel like they're gonna blow off over 60. You don't even know you're wearing one of these and the full lining doesn't give you "helmet head" like the ones that are pieced together.
