How helpful are the maintenance DVD's by Fix My Hog...I was considering them vs. a service manual...

I own it and like reviewing it before I do any maintenance. I consider it a good purchase.

They are a great addition to a service manual, not a replacement. Even the guys on the DVD highly recommend the service manual

I agree with this, its good to see someone actually perform a given task but the service manual has so much more necessary info.

I agree with above. There is no replacement for the correct service manual for your bike.

It's a great DVD, if you can watch someone do it, you can do anything. But it doesn't replace the service manual. Get both

I totally agree. I have the service manual, parts manual and the dvd. I like to review it as well before I have to do any maintenance. I is a great
help to see someone going thru the procedure.

Service manual and parts book are great. But I can read the service manual and come away a little confused sometimes, my reading comprehension went out the window after 52 years. Like adjusting the clutch, nothing to it but the first time after reading the manual I was scared to tackle it. I watched the dvd, same instructions but seeing someone doing it, made it a piece of cake. Cost of the manuals and Fix my Hog dvdscheaper thanfirst service at the dealer.

I love my video, however I do have the manual as well.

I have changed out my own forks and serviced my own bike.

I have already made my $$ back on the purchase.
