i average about 38-39 on my 07 road king around town, but those short trips, frequent stops/starts, really do kill your gas mileage. i do quite a bit better on the road, about 43 or better there.

I get about 40 45 depends on how I ride that day. But Ithink thats pretty good.

I get between 28 and 32 mpg in town depending how I ride and around 42 on the highway riding between 65 and 80 mph.

37-38 around town, 40-43 highway, 38-39 at 75-80 mph. I usually cruise at 70 where I get the 42 mpg average.

2008 Ultra with race tuner SE air filter and Rinehart slipons.900 miles. 31 - 33mpg. Houston Texas.

I get 170 to 180 per tank, but I can only put 4 gallons in it...maybe 4.5 if I top off with the hose barely in it, no matter how I lean the bike or sit on it straight up and down. 2008 is supposed to have 6 gallons... dunno where they are though?

I'm getting the same with my 07 RG. See my configuration in my signature.

I do notice that my fuel gauge drops slowly at first then speeds up after 1/2 a tank. I'm like you in that respect. Much better to use the odometer and fuel up around 150 to 160.
