06 Road King Stage 1 37 mpg but usually rideing a lot of twisties..Dont belive there is a straight or level road in the fine state of Tennessee..which is fine with me..
I was getting low 40's (RH True Duals) before I put on the K&N 3910 and ThunderMax, now low 30's. Runs cooler and much faster.
Still tuning for cruising economy. I've adjusted the AFR to 14.4:1 in the cruise range. Then to moves to 12.5:1 on greater throttle. Have not ridden it yet with these settings.
I'm getting 37-40 on a 08 with a stage 1. I didn't start checking it until after 5 or 6 thousand miles so I don't know where it was when it was stock. Mostly cause I don't care about the MPG. I only started checking it to get an idea how rich/lean it was running. Plugs look good, pipes look good. 37 MPG says it's a little rich somewhere but I'll track that down.
Ive got an 07 Road King and just had it dynoed. My gas mileage was never that great to begin with. Now I get 150-165 miles to the tank. Is that normal? What are you guys getting?
When you say "miles to the tank," do you mean when the warning light comes on? If so, that's not a good way to ascertain mileage. Fill to the edge of the filler neck, then ride 'til you fill up again, also to the filler neck. That'll give you your accurate gas mileage. My light comes on when between 4.1 and 4.7 gallons have been used, so I wouldn't use it as an accurate way to determine mileage. That said, the worst I've gotten is about 180 miles, the best 207 miles (50mpg).
My mileage varies between 40 (city) and 50 (55-60mph steady).
