Default Compensating Sprocket Removal

Real quick. I am getting ready to change the primary chain on my 1999 touring bike. I know the clutch assembly nut is reverse thread and am wondering if the compensating sprocket nut is also. Is there a trick to breaking it loose?

comp is right handed, clutch is left handed like you stated. Use a breaker bar or the handle of a floor jack slipped over a sturdy ratchet.
