It is too late tonight to run out and take a good picture, but what have some of you done to get rid of those rusty bolts/clamps on the right side of your exhaust, yeah, you know the ones I am talking about. I am looking for ways other than replacing that exhaust with true duals. I really do not have the funds to buy a true dual setup or the PCIII or equivilant to go with it right now (still paying for a kid to go to college). Is ther a clamp or nut and bolt setup that won't rust? Almost every one I have ever seen is that way. Thanks.
On my 04 before I switched to duals I had taken some gray instant galvanizing paint in a spray can and sprayed the clamps and bolts.....worked like a charm. Of course I taped up things before I sprayed it.
For a while there was a company making an Exhaust Valance that covered all those bolts and clamps with a nice chrome cover. I just did some quick searching around but I couldn't find it.
You can loosen them all up, and rotate them until they are out of sight, then tighten them again.
I looked at the links, good idea, but I am not too crazy about it, especially for $100. I might just see about putting some stainless down there, then rotate it around so I don't see it.
You figured it out. Check online and see who's makin stainless exhaust systems. I 'm sure you'll find em. Not gonna be cheap though.
