excuses, excuses, excuses.....
Choo Choo, once again, this has no business in the bagger forum. Take to the sporty forums. I am glad to hear that you are getting it fixed under warranty. If you could do us all a favor and let it rest now, I am sure you would make most of a bagger forum happy! [sm=deal.gif]
Not to hijack your thread, but we all know what is the MOST popular color for Harley's on the face of the planet, you guessed it, black. Do you think my dealer had any in stock? I know, I couldn't believe it myself. [sm=smiley5.gif] Their excuse, we can't stock everything. Now tell me, how much room does that tiny bottle of touch up paint take? [sm=sigh.gif]
Funny ya mention the touch up paint...ah've seen the same thang. From what ah understand, it's an issue of shelf life. Our local dealer will gladly order it in, but hates to carry it, because folks wanna open it an' check the color (like they'll REALLY be able ta tell anything in that bottle), an' it ends up dryin' out.
Its the same paint thats on the bike, why would you need to check it??

Choochoo did what every one of us should do when getting screwed by the dealer for BS crap.
Just wait till your Redline oil causes your tensioners to wear prematurely and tank the motor, or your power commander blows out your stator...
Same line of BS. You are going to wish you had ChooChoo then on your side.
You know they aren't out of filters. They probably make more money on oil changes than any other type of service combined.
You guys need to do some riding and quit being so judgmental.

Using a Carquest filer does not seem to be a prudent thing to do....By employing a Carquest filter, Chew chew appeared to try to save some money. There is a good chance he violated the warranty...
Frankly, ah wish he'd buy a Honda.....

I know another guy here in town who has found more cigarette butts in his mashed potatoes while eating at resturants than all other complaints about resturants combined. I don't know if he's telling the truth, but can't say he hasn't unless I've seen it for myself.

RIDE ON!!!!!
How many of you change your own oil on your cars and trucks, under warranty or not?
What brand of filter do you use?
Wix makes most major aftermarket brand oil filters, INCLUDING SOME HD.
Carquest, Napa, and others.
Gm, ford, HD, etc do NOT make their own filters or oils or paints, etc.
Go read and UNDERSTAND the Moss Magnuson act.
The dealer CAN NOT void a warranty just because you used a different filter.
BUT THEY CAN MAKE YOUR LIFE HE!!
Go to www.filtercouncil.org for more info.
Get out your service manual and READ and UNDERSTAND how the oil system on you TC bagger works. It is the same on a sporty!
AIN'T NO WAY IN FRICKINGHE!! THAT THE FILTER CAN CAUSE AN OIL TANK TO EXPLODE!
THE DEALER PIZZED ME OFF AND SOME OF YOU KNOW IT ALL IGNORANT AZZES THAT DON'T HAVE THE GONADS TO STAND UP FOR YOURSELVES DO TOO!!!
Some day some of you will experience a warranty problem firsthand and the dealer and moco
will deny the warranty. Then we will hear you whine.
Well I've been trying to help yOu all. Which most OFyou haveshown is a waste of time.
