Reach bars, Iso grips with the throttle boss, and most important cruise control.

Larger grips will help, what ever your choice is. If you get the HD grips get the large. Iso grips is very good. If you do not have cruise the throttle boss is worth it's money many times over. Golves is another good way of increasing the grip size without changing them. I wear half gloves almost always (until it gest below 35 degrees) but thats all already been said

Besides the cruise control, get the Kury ISO grips with a throttle boss. Even when not using the cruise, the ISOs with the throttle boss really do help keep the hand from cramping on the long rides.

Couple of questions. What part of your hand goes numb? I know that sounds like a dumb question, but different parts of your hand have different nerves carrying feeling to it. Does it happen right away, or after a long ride? Also, I don't mean to dig into you medical past, but have you had any injuries to arm, shoulder, back or neck? This would indicate a more serious problem that would require medical attention. How long does that numbness last? Short time could be blood supply, longer could be carple tunnel syndrome or worse. Try all that you can to avoid problem, but don't ignore it.

one of those 'cramp buster' things that snap onto the grip. lets me use my palm to control the throttle and takes the pressure off my hand. if i don't need it in town i just spin it around until it faces down and out of the way.

I tend to squeeze the heck out of both my Harley grips and the steering wheel in my car. After a while, I get some numbness and have learned to relax my grip a little and work the numb hand from a fist to fully open. That helps me; YMMV.

Crampbuster lets you use your palm to control the throttle. Works for me.
