Before you try any of these recommendations determine what the underlying issue is. Probably nothing serious. Might be as simple as relaxing your grip. Good to know what you are really dealing with.
Regardless the issue I'd recommend cruise control. It's one of the best features on my Ultra, good hands or not. Just my 02.
Besides the cruise control, get the Kury ISO grips with a throttle boss. Even when not using the cruise, the ISOs with the throttle boss really do help keep the hand from cramping on the long rides.
Any of yall have problems with your 'throttle hand' goin to sleep (getting numb)? If so, what did ya do to cure it???

Guys....forgive me....I neglected to mention I DO have cruise control....and I use it when I can. Problem is....in the Houston area, most timesit's not wise to use the cruise....too much speed variation...idiots changing lanes (3 or 4) in one move. Yall know the drill.
After reading what most of you have said....it's probably the 'death grip' curse...tension when in traffic. When I can put the cruise on...it's only taking a few seconds to relieve the numbness. I usually wear fingerless gloves....Ive also tried extending the fingers over the brake lever...it works...but returns almost as quick. I've been thinking of trying the Kury ISO grips with the throttle boss...looks as if it's time to order them.
I ride with a relaxed grip. I get tingley/numbess in the right hand only - and only in the thumb and first two fingers. Usually it occurs after about 20 to 30 minutes. I flip on the cruise control for a few minutes and flex my fingers/hand for a few seconds then I'm fine for a little while.
I've been wondering if others have this same problem. For those of you who do it it both hands? Left or Right? Entire hand or only certain fingers?
Whether I wear gloves or not makes no difference by the way.
I get the numbness/tingling in the right hand only as well. Don't when I'm riding the WG, so don't think I'm hanging on too tight. I try flexing the fingers on and off, and I set the cruise when I can. Been wondering about changing the bar height. I've changed grips once already.
I'd just reach back and squeeze the wife's thigh a couple times, but then my head would be tingling too!
