mpg question
My 03 Heritage with cams, S&S carb., PC, & V&H longshots averaged around 38, never over 42, and only rarely that high.
I don't know how people get those anything over 39mpg. I get about 35 no matter how I ride.

If I stay out of the throttle, and under 70 mph I get between 48 and 52 mpg. (this does not happen much
)Our last trip pulling the trailer we got between 38 and 40 mpg. The weight of the trailer (loaded) was 425#, I am 200, wife is 135. Speed varied between 60 and 70 mph, with an ocassional pull up to just below 80 mph. Not much wind, quite a few hills, 70 degrees. (I did not see the oil temp go above 220)
I don't know that I would really care if my MPG was less, that is not why I ride, but it is amazing that the newer EFI bikes are getting so much less. I have begun wondering if it is heat related.
