My 07 Ultra with 16K is averaging 42-44, with a high of 46.75 mpg and a low of 40.5. That's a combo of solo and 2-up, 2 lane and 4 lane since Jan., a total of about 2500-3000 miles.

My 03 Heritage with cams, S&S carb., PC, & V&H longshots averaged around 38, never over 42, and only rarely that high.

08 RKC

was 35mpg now about 43 mpg

took it out on some very agressive ridding and I think the rings finally seated? Don't know but big change in MPG after that ride.

2,000miles on the bike.

I took a hard (very aggressive) ride yesterday. 165 miles of country 2 lane roads. Some twistys, lots of sweepers and straight lines. Was deep into the throttle most of the ride. Had it up to 80 a few times, but was prolly averaging 55mph. Very few stop signs (less than 10) and one signal light. I hit 5th gear around 50-60 mph, downshift to 4th around 45 mph. It was 65 degrees and dry, a bit windy. I got 46 mpg. (I did not see the oil temp go above 207)

If I stay out of the throttle, and under 70 mph I get between 48 and 52 mpg. (this does not happen much )

Our last trip pulling the trailer we got between 38 and 40 mpg. The weight of the trailer (loaded) was 425#, I am 200, wife is 135. Speed varied between 60 and 70 mph, with an ocassional pull up to just below 80 mph. Not much wind, quite a few hills, 70 degrees. (I did not see the oil temp go above 220)

I don't know that I would really care if my MPG was less, that is not why I ride, but it is amazing that the newer EFI bikes are getting so much less. I have begun wondering if it is heat related.

Don't ask me how, but with a 95" stage II, race tuner, 204 cams, I average about 44 MPG.
Long distance on the dessert Hwy, averaging 70 to 80 I have gotten 49 MPG.
