I talked to a Harley rep at my HDdealer yesterday about my 08SG going into forced idle mode, in cruise at 65 mph,no codes. He said harley didn't have an answer at this time.Also therpms have gone up whenI was slowing down around 20 mph, had to clutch it to stop pulling ahead. Bike also picked up rpms in 4th gear just for an instant, by itself, andit didn'tfeel good. Rep had no answer for this. He did say that high idle problems can be caused by blipping throttle.I don't blip the throttle on this bike.Turning the igniton on and off4 times will clear up high idle problems. I knew that already.No new help yet!

What exactly is "forced idle mode"? I dont have all that many miles on my 08'SG yet due to the winter, but its got about 600 on it now, and so far the electric throttle has been flawless. In fact its hard to tell its not a cable set-up.
