Pretty easy install. Like you siad the little brass gremlins are the hardest part. If I were you I would trade my bike for an 08 and then you want have those little brass things !!! LOL

Picks work wonders for handling those ferrules. The grips are a fairly easy install...process took less than an hour. Remember to protect your tank from possible scratches while installing. Also a very good time to lubricate and check clutch and throttle cables......

Don't forge to shim the brake lever with cardboard. This is the most pain in the *** mistake you can make doing this.
If you break that switch, you will wish you had just lost ferules even if the moco charged $100 for them.
Toss a towel on the ground under the throttle grip to catch em if they drop.
To avoid any hassle of removing the left grip, i gut it lengthwise with a razorblade. Took seconds to remove that way.
